Built in 1845 by Pierre Bossan (1814-1888), architect of the église Saint-Georges and subsequently the Fourvière Basilica, this eclectic building combines Moorish and Medieval styles with a military and civilian touch alike and provides a foretaste of the mark of this great Lyon architect.
